CAMMARATA MODE / SHOPPING GUIDE

The Right Size
Starts With Measurements.

From babies to adults: check height, chest, waist, hips, foot length and head circumference before choosing.

Before you choose: These charts are general guidance and do not represent official sizing for every brand sold by Cammarata Mode. An XS, 40 or 12Y may fit differently from one brand to another. Always follow the manufacturer's chart when available.

01 / MEASUREMENTS

How to take measurements

Use a soft measuring tape without pulling it tight. Keep it parallel to the floor. For shoes, measure both feet while standing, ideally towards the end of the day.

01

Height

From the top of the head to the floor, without shoes; measure babies lying down.

02

Chest / bust

Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level.

03

Waist

Measure around the narrowest part of the waist without holding your breath.

04

Hips

Measure around the widest part of the hips with feet together.

05

Inside leg

From the inner thigh down to the ankle or desired hem position.

06

Foot and head

Foot: heel to longest toe. Hat: head circumference about 2–2.5 cm above the eyebrows.

When choosing shoes: Do not rely solely on the outer sole length. Avoid rigid conversions between EU, US and UK sizes, and consider foot width and shoe fit.

07 / SIZE GUIDE

Hats, caps and head circumference

Measure the head circumference approximately 2 cm above the eyebrows and just above the ears. Measurements in centimetres matter more than age: fit varies by style.

Hat sizes, head measurements and approximate ages

Head (cm) S/M or L/XL size Approximate age Guide
36–38 — 0–3 months Babies
40–42 — 3–6 months Early childhood
44–46 — 6–12 mesi Baby
48 — 1–1.5 years Toddler
50 S/M 1.5–3 years Young child
52 S/M 2–5 years Child
54 L/XL 4–7 years Child
56 L/XL 7–12 years Junior
58 — 12–14 years Junior / teenager
59–60 — Approx. 14–16 years Teenager / adult
61–62 — 16 years and over, where measurements match Mainly adult
63–64 — Adult Extended sizes, where available
65–66 — Adult Extended sizes, where available

Combined sizes: S/M approximately corresponds to a circumference of 50–52 cm; L/XL to 54–56 cm. These are guidelines for some junior hats, not a universal conversion. Always check the measurements given for each item.

Ages are approximate. The 59–62 cm range extends the guide to ages 16 and over, but is not based on any official age conversion. Smaller sizes may fit at age 16; choose based on the actual head circumference.

How to choose: If the measurement falls between sizes, check whether the hat is adjustable or stretchy. S/M or L/XL fit may vary depending on the design and fabric.

08 / SIZE GUIDE

Accessories, belts, gloves and socks

Accessory sizing varies more than clothing sizing. Always consult the product description and any size chart provided by the manufacturer.

Gloves

Measure around the widest part of the palm, excluding the thumb. Some styles also require hand length from the wrist to the middle finger. XS–XXL sizes are not universally standardised.

Belts

Measure your waist where you plan to wear the belt. A size 85, 95 or 105 may indicate the distance from the buckle to the middle hole rather than the full belt length.

Socks

Choose based on the EU shoe sizes shown on the label, such as 23–26, 27–30, 35–38, 39–42 or 43–46. Size ranges vary between brands.

Jeans W / L

W normally indicates waist size in inches, while L refers to inside-leg length in inches. The number may differ from the garment's actual waist circumference due to fit and rise.

Jeans · mathematical W-to-cm conversion only

09 / TIPS

If you're between sizes

Slim fit

Consider the smaller size only if your other body measurements also fall within its range.

Relaxed fit

The larger size may be better for non-stretch fabrics, oversized styles or greater freedom of movement.

Babies and children

Height and actual measurements are more useful than age alone. Do not choose shoes or hats based solely on age.

Important note: These measurements are approximate and have been compiled and organised to help you choose. For specialist items, unusual brand fits and technical clothing, always prioritise the manufacturer's guidance.
